Dance Revolution Health & Safety Protocols

2021 Tour Season

As of 2/1/2023

Dance Revolution has been praying, working and strategizing over the last few months to introduce updated health procedures and guidelines so that we can offer the safest convention for our attendees. As you know, some of our dates and venues are months away from taking place so information may change in the upcoming months and all information is subject to change. We will be updating this page every 14 days for your convenience. Dance Revolution has and will continue to monitor policies and public health organizations in each tour cities locations. Please see below for our current plan of action and how we are working to make the All Access Tour the best tour season yet!

Dance Revolution Staff & Teacher Protocols

Dance Revolution Staff will receive temperature and wellness checks every day of the event. We also require that studio owners and teachers implement a temperature check with their students and staff each morning of the convention. Our Staff and volunteers will be receiving training in CDC sanitizing and cleanliness as well.

Registered Studios & Independent Dancers

Each studio will be required to turn in a form given before the convention weekend stating they will and have conducted temperature and wellness checks for each dancer & teacher before each day of the convention. They will be required to turn in the signed form no later than Sunday morning at 11:00am. If someone has symptoms of illness or a temperature of 100.4 or higher, they will not be admitted to dance or attend events in the ballrooms.

Venue Capacity

We will continue to be in contact with our venues regarding their most updated capacity limits. We will abide by the venue's capacity in each ballroom as they are working with the local government's regulations. At this time, we will operate at reduced capacity in each ballroom. In some locations, we are working to get larger/more ballrooms and age divisions could have more than one ballroom to give dancers the optimal amount of space.

We will promote social distancing by specific markings on floors, signage, separating chairs in ballrooms and so forth. However, we cannot guarantee six feet distancing during the weekend. We ask that our attendees are vigilant and aware of their surroundings at all times.

**Teen level in Dallas: At this time, we will not combine any classes with the Senior level like in past years, except the House Party.

Dance Party: NEW UPDATE- Due to our venue dimensions being bigger at our in-person locations, we are able to have all attendees in the largest ballroom space and still be able to spread out. We will not have a need to rotate ballrooms for the dance party any longer BUT will have our studios stay in their "Studio Pods" once they enter the ballroom for Countdown to Transformation and will stay in their studio pods for the Dance Party.

Face Protection

We know this is a question for many people and as of today, we will be abiding by requirements of each hotel and venue when it comes to face coverings. If you would like to know more about your specific location, please visit your specific tour date page.

Dance Revolution Faculty as well as members traveling with Dance Revolution, will be required to wear face coverings as of today unless teaching or performing onstage.

During DR Showcase, face covering decisions will be up to each individual studio.

COVID-19 Related Illness

If the event is held and a dancer cannot attend because they were diagnosed with COVID-19, please notify the DR Office via email at dancerevolutionmw@gmail.com at least 24 hours prior to the start of the event and provide a valid positive test result. Upon receipt of the positive test result, DR will provide a full refund. For other refund policies, please refer to our website under each Tour date page. Please see our “Game Plan” below for refunds and policy guidelines specific to the 2020-21 season.

Observers

Dallas: In-person observers are sold out but virtual observer passes are still available! Virtual observers will have a viewing area at the venue but not be allowed in the Senior, Teen or Junior Ballrooms during classes or main events EXCEPT the DR Showcase. Apprentice dancers will be limited to only one studio representative or parent in the Apprentice ballroom. Due to this, we will not have a virtual live stream set up in the Apprentice ballroom. We will only have live streams available for the Senior, Teen and Junior ballrooms for Virtual observers in Dallas. Observers will be able to view on their device those classes, Countdown to Transformation, The Gathering, DR Production and Faculty Finale.

Orlando: Due to limiting our capacity, observers are only virtual at this location. This virtual option would happen in a viewing area at the venue. At this time, observers will not be allowed in the Senior or Junior ballrooms during classes or main events EXCEPT the DR Showcase. Apprentice dancers will be limited to only one studio representative or parent in the Apprentice ballroom during classes. Observers will be able to view on their device those classes, Countdown to Transformation, The Gathering, DR Production and Faculty Finale.

If space is available on site, all changes must be done at the Registration Table or Main Table with a registered teachers from your studio.
